This Extraction 2 is an American action 2023 thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Eric Skillman, and David Callaham. It is a sequel to the 2020 film Extraction, and stars Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a black ops mercenary who is tasked with rescuing Ovi, the kidnapped daughter of a Georgian crime lord.
The film's plot is set immediately after the events of the first film. Rake is still recovering from his injuries sustained in Bangladesh, but he is called upon by Ovi's mother to rescue her daughter from a group of Georgian criminals led by Ovi's uncle. Rake agrees to help, but he soon realizes that he is in over his head. The criminals are ruthless and well-armed, and they will stop at nothing to get their hands on Ovi.
